The grade II listed building has been earmarked as a contender in Ramada’s international renovation award, alongside the Downtown Dubai, Ramada Agra and Ramada Istanbul.
It follows a refurbishment throughout the hotel which has seen more than £3 million ploughed into improvements including a new Orangery eatery and extensive garden works.
The work has been completed after the owners late Mr Ranjit Singh Power and Angela Bir unveiled their vision for its luxurious future back in 2011 when they took over the historic premises.
A banqueting hall and five and a half acres of grounds have already undergone a major facelift, with landscaped decorative gardens and ornamental features replacing neglected scrubland.
Some 28 new bedrooms are also still planned as well as a full kitchen revamp.
Ramada Park Hall General Manager James Jagpal said: “We are extremely proud to have been recognised in the shortlisting for these awards, such an honour was not foreseen.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to the team who have striven to deliver a constantly high standard of service throughout all aspects of renovation. Importantly, we’d also like to thank all the customers who’ve visited us throughout this exciting time whether it be for accommodation, afternoon tea or a wedding. We look forward to welcoming many more through our doors to see the changes.
“The fact that we have gained recognition in these prestigious awards alongside such exclusive hotels is a great testament to all the hard work and focus from all of our team here.
